How PlumbLinker works

One call, routed to a plumber who can actually take your job. Here's exactly what happens.

Free to call. We route you to an independent licensed plumber in your area — PlumbLinker does not perform plumbing work.

You call one number

Dial (888) 876-3092 from anywhere in the US. A person answers. We ask where you are and what's happening — usually under a minute.

We route to an available plumber

We connect you with an independent plumbing company in our network that covers your area and has capacity for your job type. If the first can't take it, we go to the next while you stay on the line.

You deal with the plumber directly

They give you an ETA, diagnose the problem, quote the work, and bill you. PlumbLinker plays no part in pricing, scheduling, or the repair itself.

How we make money

Worth being direct about, because it explains our incentives.

Plumbing companies pay us for referred calls. Homeowners pay us nothing, ever. We don't take a cut of your repair bill, we don't mark up the plumber's price, and we have no financial interest in how large your invoice is.

What that means practically: a plumber has paid for the connection whether or not you hire them. Our incentive is to route you to someone who can actually help — plumbers who receive calls they can't service stop paying for them.

What it also means, honestly: we are not a neutral consumer review site. We route to companies in our network. We're not comparing every plumber in your area on price or quality, and we don't claim to. If you want to shop around on a non-urgent job, you should — and you'll probably save money doing it.

What we are not

PlumbLinker is not a plumbing contractor. We hold no plumbing license, we employ no plumbers, and we perform, supervise, and warrant no plumbing work. Every plumber you reach through us is an independent business responsible for its own licensing, insurance, pricing, and workmanship.

What we ask on the call

Five quick questions. The more precise your answers, the better the routing.

Where you are

Address or ZIP code. This determines who can reach you and how fast.

What's happening

Be specific. “Water through the kitchen ceiling” routes better than “a leak.”

Is the water off

Changes urgency, and changes who we dispatch first.

Property type

House, condo, apartment, or commercial. Multi-unit buildings often need management involved.

Best callback number

In case the plumber needs to reach you for gate codes or directions.

Access notes

Dogs, gates, parking, a locked crawlspace.

Before you authorize any work

These four things protect you regardless of who shows up. Do them every time.

  • Ask for the license number and verify it. Your state board's lookup is free and takes two minutes. How to check.
  • Ask for proof of liability insurance. If something goes wrong in your home, this is what covers it.
  • Get the estimate in writing or by text before work starts — itemized, and clear about what happens to the price if they find more damage.
  • Ask whether it's a permanent repair or a temporary fix. Emergency work is often deliberately temporary, which is fine as long as you know.
If a call goes badly, tell us

Email hello@plumblinker.com with the date, your city, and what happened. We use that to decide who stays in the network. We can't undo a bad experience, but we can stop it repeating — and a company that generates complaints is a company that costs us more than it earns.

Frequently asked questions

Is PlumbLinker free to use?

Yes. Calling (888) 876-3092 costs nothing and we never bill homeowners. Plumbing companies pay us for referred calls. You pay only the plumber, at rates they quote you.

Do you employ the plumbers?

No. Every plumber is an independent business. They set their own prices, carry their own licensing and insurance, and are solely responsible for the work.

How do you choose which plumber to send?

Coverage area, availability at that moment, and job type. If a company can't take the call, we route to the next available one.

What if I'm not happy with the plumber?

Raise it with the company directly first — most issues are resolvable that way. Then email hello@plumblinker.com. We review complaints and remove companies that generate them.

Do you sell my information?

No. We use your details to route your call and nothing else. We don't sell personal data to third parties or lead brokers. See our Privacy Policy.
