Privacy Policy
This policy explains what PlumbLinker collects when you call or use this website, how we use it, and what control you have. We've tried to write it in plain language.
1. Who we are
PlumbLinker operates a referral service connecting homeowners with independent licensed plumbing companies. Contact: hello@plumblinker.com.
2. What we collect
When you call us
- Your phone number (including via caller ID)
- Your name
- Your service address or ZIP code
- A description of your plumbing problem
- Property type and access details you provide
- Call metadata: time, duration, and which plumbing company we routed you to
When you visit this website
- IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- The referring website or search term that brought you here
- Advertising click identifiers where you arrive from a paid ad (for example gclid, msclkid, or fbclid parameters)
Call recording
Calls to our line may be recorded or monitored for quality assurance, routing accuracy, and training. Where recording requires consent under applicable state law, you will be notified at the start of the call and may decline — we can still route you without recording. Recordings are retained only as long as needed for these purposes.
3. How we use it
- To identify your location and route your call to an appropriate plumbing company
- To pass necessary job details to that company so they can serve you
- To follow up on service quality and investigate complaints
- To measure which marketing channels bring us calls, and to improve this website
- To detect fraud and abuse of our phone line
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Who we share it with
Plumbing companies in our network. When we route your call, the receiving company gets what they need to serve you: your name, contact number, service address, and problem description. They are independent businesses and their own use of your information is governed by their privacy practices, not ours.
Service providers. Telephony and call-routing providers, website hosting, and analytics providers, acting on our instructions.
Advertising platforms. We use advertising and analytics services that may set cookies or receive conversion data, including Google, Microsoft, and Meta platforms. This tells us which ads produce calls.
Legal. Where required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers, lead aggregators, or any third party, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. Your details go to the plumbing company serving you, and to the service providers that make the routing work — nowhere else.
5. Cookies and tracking
This website uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality, to measure traffic, and to attribute calls to advertising campaigns. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; core parts of the site will still work. Where required by law, we present a consent banner before setting non-essential cookies.
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable law requires it.
6. Text messages
If you provide a mobile number, the plumbing company we route you to may text you about arrival times or estimates. PlumbLinker does not send marketing text messages and does not add callers to marketing SMS lists. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further texts from that sender.
7. Retention
We keep call records and routing data for as long as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations — generally no longer than 24 months for call detail records, and shorter for recordings. Website analytics data is retained per the settings of the analytics provider.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it
- Request a copy of that information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion, subject to legal retention requirements
- Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither)
- Limit use of sensitive personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
These rights are available to California residents under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, and comparable rights exist in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other states with consumer privacy laws. To exercise any of them, email hello@plumblinker.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
9. Children
This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact hello@plumblinker.com and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
12. Contact
